No engine start possible - code needed

Your vehicle suddenly asks for a code after replacing the radio and will not start the engine?

Possible reasons for a sudden code query include insufficient voltage or disconnection of the battery.

After three incorrect code entries or after three attempts to start the car without entering a code, an alarm sounds for 30 seconds on vehicles with an alarm system.

Emergency disarming:

If you have forgotten the code, follow the procedure below:

1. disconnect battery and reconnect after approx. 2 minutes, alarm sounds for vehicles with alarm system

2. switch the ignition key to position 1: The display shows a time display that runs backwards for ten minutes

3. start the engine after ten minutes
